Transcranial Direct-Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation instrument and an important neuromodulatory device.

The transcranial direct current stimulator uses constant, low-intensity direct current (usually in the range of 1~2mA) to regulate the activity of neurons in specific areas of the cerebral cortex.
