The non-contact laser interferometer works based on the laser interference phenomenon. It uses a stable laser as a light source and splits the laser beam into two paths through a precision optical system: one as a reference beam and the other as a measuring beam. When the measuring beam is irradiated onto the surface of the object being measured and reflected back, it will reunite with the reference beam to form interference fringes. The slight changes in these interference fringes reflect the displacement information of the object being measured, so that the length, shape, flatness, straightness, angle and other geometric parameters of the object can be accurately measured.
