Description
According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Neonatal and Pediatric Tracheostomy Tubes market size was valued at US$ 1246 million in 2024 and is forecast to a readjusted size of USD 1635 million by 2031 with a CAGR of 4.0% during review period.
Tracheotomy Tube is inserted through a surgical opening (stoma) of the trachea to secure an airway during breathing, ventilation or weaning.
A commonly used Tracheotomy Tube consists of three parts: outer cannula with flange (neck plate), inner cannula, and an obturator. The outer cannula is the outer tube that holds the tracheostomy open. A neck plate extends from the sides of the outer tube and has holes to attach cloth ties or velcro strap around the neck. The inner cannula fits inside the outer cannula. It has a lock to keep it from being coughed out, and it is removed for cleaning. The obturator is used to insert a Tracheotomy Tube. It fits inside the tube to provide a smooth surface that guides the Tracheotomy Tube when it is being inserted. This report focuses on adult tracheostomy tubes smaller than 4 mm.
