Mask ROM is a type of read-only memory (ROM) whose data is written directly to the chip through a physical mask during the semiconductor manufacturing process, rather than being loaded programmatically. The data in mask ROM is permanent and cannot be modified or erased after manufacturing, so it already contains specific programs or data when it leaves the factory.
