Luneburg lens, often incorrectly spelled as Luneberg lens, is a dielectric lens that collects and focuses electromagnetic energy. According to the theory proposed by Rudolf Karl Luneburg in 1944, the lens is spherical and its dielectric constant varies more in the part close to its center. Due to this property, the lens can refract and focus the incident energy. When the angle of incidence changes, the focus also changes. Its characteristic is that due to its spherical shape, it can concentrate energy entering from all angles.

Luneburg lens antenna, also called Luneburg lens antenna, Luneburg antenna, dielectric lens antenna, etc., is derived from Luneburg lens.
