This report forecasts to 2025 US brick demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by market in terms of: residential, commercial, and nonbuilding. Total demand is also segmented by product as follows: building; paving; facing; chemical resistant; fire; and other products such as industrial flooring, manhole, and sewer brick.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2010 to 2020; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010, 2015, and 2020.
Refractory brick and glass blocks are excluded from the scope to this report. For the purposes of this report, brick units are defined as having dimensions of 3-5/8 inches by 2-1/4 inches by 7-5/8 inches. These are known in the industry as ""standard brick units"", the production of clay bricks of other dimensions are converted into an equivalent volume of standard brick units.
