I.V. (Intravenous) route is used by physicians, nurses etc. as the fastest route to deliver medications, fluids, blood transfusions, and others in patients. I.V. dressing acts as a quick fixation dressing to secure the I.V. cannula, intramuscular catheters, and other percutaneous devices to the skin. I.V. dressing is a transparent or translucent dressing made up of adhesive material and polyurethane collated films, it prevents bacterial infection at the injection site and also prevents moisture buildup to protect against dust and germs.
