Aesthetic threads are medical sutures that are injected using the needle under the skin to lift and to rejuvenate the skin. These threads are widely used in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures to create a more refreshed, smoother appearance. Suspension threads are a variety of long cosmetic threads with cones or barbs that pull backward on sagging skin when injected with a needle into the target area on the face. Rejuvenation threads have less of a lifting mechanism, but they stimulate natural collagen production when injected underneath the skin.
Market Dynamics:
Increasing number of aesthetic procedures, growing geriatric (aging) population, high demand for facelifts and blepharoplasty, high demand for aesthetic threads, and introduction of novel products are major factors expected to augment the growth of the global aesthetic thread market.
For instance, in December 2021, Croma Pharma announced the launch of novel Anchor Plus PDO threads that offer greater thread integrity alongside more cogs, creating a stronger, more durable thread that can be used to help lift heavy skin.
Moreover, in September 2021, Menarini Group launched its dermatology and aesthetic medicine arm, RELIFE, introduced Definisse double-needle threads in India.
