According to CRI analysis, the main export destinations of Ethiopian sesame include the Middle East and Southeast Asian countries.
The Middle Eastern countries mainly include Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Southeast Asian countries mainly include Vietnam, Singapore, etc. The top three export destinations of Ethiopian sesame from 2021 to 2024 are Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. Israel is the largest importer of Ethiopian sesame, and the import volume has been increasing in recent years.
According to CRI analysis, the import sesame companies were mainly foreign trade companies and food production companies from Ethiopia between 2021 and 2024. The main exporters of Ethiopian sesame are local foreign trade companies.
Overall, Ethiopia's sesame production and export value have shown a trend of sustained growth. CRI predicts that with the continued growth of global demand for sesame and the improvement of Ethiopia's sesame planting area and technology, Ethiopia's sesame production and export volume are expected to further expand in the next few years.
