The Opportunity

MarketResearch.com is looking for a Pre Sales Consultant to qualify leads by connecting with potential customers to complete the discovery and lead qualification process. This position will be responsible for identifying client’s current pain points and/or market research needs by conducting the initial phone or digital contact with leads provided to them.

 

The Responsibilities

The Pre Sales Consultant will make contact with identified targets and leads and qualify those leads based on a list of information they must obtain. Once obtained, this Lead Generation Specialist will be expected to schedule a meeting with this potential customer and our Sales Account Managers to ideally finalize and close the sale.

This roles success is based on:

  • The number of completed qualifications and schedule appointments

POSITION OVERVIEW

Specific tasks include sizing markets, identifying and monitoring the competitive landscape for an industry, and identifying market conditions, barriers and trends that impact the key players and the industry as a whole. The primary recipients of these reports will be CEOs and other executives in the professional publishing and business information markets, and include medical publishing, legal publishing and other professional business fields.

Skills/Requirements

The ideal candidate will have had 3+ years researching and writing in depth market research reports.

 

All successful candidates must be able to conduct advanced open web research, know how to effectively search professional databases, make sense of data, and have excellent communication skills. A background in journalism or library science is a plus. Some basic math skills will be important in order to calculate rates of change, compound annual growth determine market shares, make estimates, and to extrapolate and produce forecasts.
