E.ON Climate & Renewables (E.ON) is planning to undertake the Wildcat IV wind farm project in Tipton County, Indiana, the US.

The project involves the construction of 300MW onshore wind farm comprising 200 turbines.

It includes the construction of an energy storage system, an interconnection substation, a microwave communication tower, access road, the installation wind turbines and the laying of transmission lines.

In June 2016, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has released a draft plan ensuring the project does not contribute to the decline of two imperiled bat species already affected by threats such as disease and loss of habitat.

E.ON applied for an incidental take permit.

USFWS accepted public comments on the draft plan, a draft environmental assessment and a draft implementing agreement until August 4, 2016.

E.ON is seeking for permits from USFWS.
