In May 2016, Johnson Pilton Walker was appointed as the architect and Nelson Meers Foundation and Penelope Seidler donated US$1.26 million for the project.
In June, 2017, designs of the project is on exhibition for public comments and the project is awaiting approvals from New South Wales Planning and Environment Department.
Planning activities are underway. Construction works are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2017 and expected to be complete by the fourth quarter of 2018.
