The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) in collaboration with Unifortune Holdings Sdn Bhd (Unifortune) are undertaking the construction of the Taiping mall and four-star hotel project in Perak, Malaysia.

The projects involves the construction of a 14 story mall and a Four Star Hotel.

It includes the construction of a 9,645m2 car parking space of 243bays in the basement , a 9,827m2 of Hypermarket retail space named "Pacific Hypermarket" in the lower ground floor, a 27,447m2 221 retail units from ground floor to second floor, a 9,536m2 eight screen Cineplex in the third floor, a 9,899m2 car parking space of 138bays in the 3A floor, a 6,862m2 car parking space of 170bays in the fourth floor, a 9,836m2 car parking space of 277bays in the fifth floor, a 9,836m2 car parking space of 260bays in the sixth floor, a 2,101m2 convention center in the seventh floor along with car parking space of 24bays, a 185 rooms four star Hotel (Novotel) from eigth floor to Thirteen Floor.

In July 2013, a memorandum of agreement was signed between NCIA and Unifortune Holdings Sdn Bhd for development of the proposed project.

Construction work on the mall has been completed and work on the hotel is underway.

Scope

The project involves the construction of a a 14 story mall and Four Star Hotel in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.

The US$52 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a 9,645m2 car parking space of 243bays in the basement

2. Construction of a 9,827m2 of Hypermarket retail in the lower ground floor

3. Construction of a 27,447m2 221 retail units from ground floor to second floor

4. Construction of a 9,536m2 eight screen Cineplex in the third floor

5. Construction of a 9,899m2 car parking space of 138bays in the 3A floor

6. Construction of a 6,862m2 car parking space of 170bays in the fourth floor

7. Construction of a 9,836m2 car parking space of 277bays in the fifth floor

8. Construction of a 9,836m2 car parking space of 260bays in the sixth floor

9. Construction of a 2,101m2 convention center in the seventh floor with car parking space of 24bays
