The Anderson School of Management (USM), a business school of the University of New Mexico University, is undertaking the construction of a new campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the US.

The project involves the construction of a new campus comprising two buildings and will be developed in phases.

The first phase includes the construction of a 5,667m2, four-story building along the Las Lomas Avenue.

The second phase includes the construction of a 5,388m2 building by demolishing the buildings on west side of the existing complex.

The project includes the construction of eight classrooms, eight conference group study areas, a library, marketing lab, an innovation lab and a behavioral research lab, parking and related facilities.

FBT Architects and Boora Architects has been appointed as architect, EDI-Integrative Consulting, LLC as design consultant, GroundWorks Studio Ltd as landscape architect, McCarthy Building Companies, Inc as contractor, High Mesa Consulting Group, Inc, Bridgers & Paxton Consulting Engineers, Inc and Walla Engineering Ltd as consulting engineer, Balis & Co as Cost Engineer and DL Adams Associates as technical consultant.

In October 2016, the state board approved the project.

In February 2017, Groundbreaking ceremony held on the first phase of the project and construction works are scheduled to be completed by second quarter of 2018.

The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

Scope

The project involves the construction of a new campus comprising two buildings in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the US.

The US$50 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a 5,667m2, four-story building in the first phase

2. Construction of a 5,388m2 building in the second phase

3. construction of eight classrooms

5. Construction of a library
