Uranium Resources Inc.(URI) is planning to undertake the Temrezli Uranium Mining Facility project in Turkey.
The project involves the construction of a processing plant with a production capacity of 6.8 million tonnes per annum(MTPA) of ore at an average grade of 1170 part-per-million (ppm) for 17.4 million pounds U3O8 (6697 TU).
It includes the construction of mining units, heat treatment units, storage facility, office rooms, related facilities and the installation of coolers, boilers, steamers, chambers and safety systems.
WWC Engineering has been appointed as the study consultant.
In October 2013, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources granted operation licenses for the project implementation.
In February 2014, AEK updated preliminary economic assessment (PEA).
In February 2015, the Pre-feasibility study completed.
In November 2015, URRE through its merger with AEK acquired the Temrezli project.
In July 2016, the Quality Management System(QMS) was approved by the Turkey regulatory authority.
URI is awaiting for necessary approvals, subject to the approvals investment decision will be taken for the development.
