Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC (Transco) and Meade Pipeline Co LLC (Pipeline LLC) are planning to construct a gas pipeline from Susquehanna County to Lancaster County, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 321.8km gas pipeline. The project will include the construction of gas compressor stations, transit depots, storage tanks, pumping stations, metering stations and related infrastructure, the installation of machinery, and the laying of pipelines.
The project includes the construction of a new 297.7km pipeline having diameter of 0.8m and 1.1m in Pennsylvania, 17.7km of a new 0.9m and 1.1m diameter pipeline looping in Pennsylvania and 4km of 0.8m diameter replacements in Virginia.
The project also include aboveground facilities including two new compressor stations in Pennsylvania; additional compression and related modifications to three existing compressor stations in Pennsylvania and Maryland; two new meter stations and three new regulator stations in Pennsylvania; and minor modifications at existing aboveground facilities at various locations in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to allow for bi-directional flow and the installation of supplemental odorization, odor detection, and/or odor masking/deodorization equipment.
Pipeline LLC is a joint venture between WGL Midstream, Inc., COG Holdings LLC, Vega Midstream MPC LLC, and River Road Interests LLC. As part of the joint venture, WGL Midstream will invest US$410 million.
