TradeWind Energy, LLC is planning to build a wind farm in Dixon County, Nebraska, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 319MW wind farm on 8,094ha area. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, wind towers, switch-yard facility, an underground internal electrical collector network and, the installation of 117 General Electric 1.715-MW wind turbines and 65 General Electric 1.85-MW wind turbines.
It also includes the installation of wind turbines, an electric feeder system, converters, generators, transformers, power controlling systems and safety systems and the laying of transmission lines.
In December 2013, the project placed on hold due to the lack of potential buyers to purchase the power generated by the wind farm.
TradeWind Energy, LLC received approvals for construction from Department of Energy, US.
On July 8, 2016, Southwest Power Pool filed an executed Generator Interconnection Agreement with Rattlesnake Creek Wind Project LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Nebraska Public Power District to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Planning activities are underway.
