Terracal Alimentos e Bioenergia is planning to build Guadalupe Agroindustrial Complex in the municipality of Guadalupe, Piaui, Brazil.
The project involves the construction of an agroindustrial complex over an area of 50000ha in Guadalupe. It includes the construction of a sugar and an ethanol processing plants with sugar grinding capacity of up to 3.42 million tons annually.
The project also involves the plantation of sugar cane over an area of 27,360ha.
The project will have a co-generation power plant with power generation capacity of 137MW. The power plant will use sugarcane bagasse as a primary source for the production of energy.
The 35% of the power generated by the plant will be used for industrial complex and the left amount will be sold in domestic market.
The second part of the project involves the plantation of tomatoes over an area of 4770ha. It includes the construction of tomato processing plant with production capacity of 5,000 tons per day.
The third part of the industrial complex involves a cocoa processing plant with production capacity of 10,500 tons per day and construction of a warehouse. It involves the plantation of cocoa over an area of 3000ha.
The 30 to 40% of the fund for the project will be provided by “ Private equity” Gordian Bioenergy.
Terracal is in discussion with the Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (FDNE) for raising funds to develop the agro-industrial complex.
Developer is in the process to get Transmission line approval from Ibama.
