On July 1, 2015, Doosan Enpure Ltd (Doosan), a subsidiary of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, was appointed as the contractor.
The contract will be undertaken in two distinct packages: the first is for a period of early contractor involvement (ECI) to develop the concept design, followed by a second package to design and build the plant.
In March 2017, the planning application has been submitted to Jersey Planning and Environment Department for the approvals.
As of July 2017, T&TS is waiting for the planning approvals and simultaneously preliminary works are underway which are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.
Construction works are expected to commence in February 2018 and scheduled to be completed in July 2022.
