The Transport for New South Wales (TNSW) is planning to undertake the construction of ramps and cycleways in New South Wales, Australia.
The project involves the construction of a new cycleway from the southern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Kent Street in the central city; and replacement of 55 staircases by a 200m ramp on the north side of Bridge. The new ramp on the north side of the bridge will provide a link to the proposed cycle route to Naremburn via North Sydney and Crows Nest.
The project will include the construction of approach roads, supporting walls and related infrastructure.
The project is in the early stages of development. Construction activities are expected to commence in late 2017. The Southern Cycle Ramp is due to be completed in early 2020, while the Northern Cycle ramp will be completed by mid-2020.
