A consortium of PT Timah (Persero) Tbk (TINS) and PT ADHI KARYA (Persero) (ADHI) are planning to build a power plant in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, Indonesia.
The project involves the construction of a 300MW (2X150MW) steam-fueled power plant. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, water cooling units, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
TINS has partnered with PT ADHI KARYA (Persero) Tbk through an investment of US$13 million and a project share of 49% towards the development. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is yet to be signed.
PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of PLN ( State Owned Electricity company) and ADHI will develop the project.
In January 2016, TINS secured a loan amount of US$141 millions from consortium of banks for funding the project.
The project is facing delay due to the pending necessary approval from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
The project involves the construction of a 300MW steam-fueled power plant in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, Indonesia.
