Summary

Towers Construction Management Ltd. (TCM), a subsidiary of SPI Group, is undertaking the Riga Z-Towers mixed-use development project in Riga, Latvia.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use facility comprising two high-rise towers of each 30-story. The first tower will be 123m high and the second tower will be 117m high. It includes the construction of 336 apartments, 10,000m2 of class A office space, 4,000m2 of fitness spa, 700 parking space.

The Second tower will comprise a hotel building that will be managed by Sheraton Hotel upon completion.

It includes the construction of conference halls, a business centre, shops, restaurants, cafes, a swimming pool on the top floors of the hotel, banquet hall, an 800m2 area ballroom, a four-story underground parking facility, and a helipad on the roof of the office tower.

In July 2006, a construction contract was initially signed with Strabag AG, however, in 2009, the contract was expired. In March 2010, a new contract was signed with AS YIT Ehitus and SIA Uznemejs, and construction work commenced on the project. By that time, Strabag had completed the construction of the foundation and underground premises.

F.L. Tadao & Luksevics Ltd. NRJA, Murphy Jahn was appointed as the architect; AECOM as the consulting engineer; Wright Associates as the interior architect; Poyry as the construction manager; RERE GRUPA as a subcontractor; Waterman Lighting Design as the lighting designer; and Engineering bureau Buve un Forma for the engineering design of the project, Project bureau Karlis has been appointed as an Electrical Engineer, Kurbads Engineering Group has been appointed as a Structural Engineer for the project.

The podium of towers will be constructed by SIA Uznemejs.

As of July 2016, construction activities on the office space were underway.

Construction activities are underway and scheduled to be completed in 2018.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use facility comprising two high-rise towers at 9/11 Daugavgrivas Street in Pardaugava, Riga, Latvia.
