The project involves the construction of a 19m, five-story hotel tower comprising 117 rooms, 119 parking spaces, a 325m2 meeting room, a bar, a restaurant, a conference room and other amenities facilities, and the installation of elevators.

In October 2015, the Sherman Planning & Zoning Commission approved the first two steps in a planned Courtyard by Marriott hotel to be built just north of the Sherman Town Center.
In June 2017, the city council granted a Specific Use Permit approving plans for the project.
