Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) is planning to undertake the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia.
The project involves the construction of a LNG terminal. The project includes the construction of the terminal building, storage tanks, auto gas-filling stations, LNG jetty and related infrastructure.
Magseis AS has been appointed to undertake the seismic survey works for the development.
In June 2015, the project proposal was placed on hold for next two years.
In 2016, Saudi Aramco awarded Norwegian firm Magseis and China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) subsidiary of BGP a nine-month contract, extendable by one year, to carry out largescale 3-D transitional-zone seismic acquisition in the Red Sea.
In May 2017, Magseis AS completed the initial part of the seismic survey and started working on the previously agreed extension of the work.
The project involves the construction of a LNG terminal on the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia.
