Sureste Properties Inc. (SPI), a business subsidiary of Bloomberry Resorts Corporation (BLOOM), is undertaking the construction of Solaire Manila Casino Resort project in Metro Manila, the Philippines.
The project involves the construction of an entertainment complex, featuring more than 25,000m2 of the gaming facility, hotels with total 800 rooms and other amenities. The project will be developed in phases.
The first phase of the project includes the construction of Solaire Manila Resort and Casino on an 8.3ha area at the bayside portion of Entertainment City. The project will include the construction of a 14-story, 18,500m2 gaming facility, an 11-story, 500-room hotel with a three level podium atop, a 10-story building for parking facilities, suites, bay side villas and seven specialty restaurants and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
The Phase I-A involves the construction of a 16-story, 258,721m2 Sky Tower, attached to its flagship Solaire Manila casino-resort. It will include a 312 all-suite hotel, additional VIP gaming area, a club, a luxurious spa, a cutting-edge and state-of-the-art theater with 1,700-seating capacity, a retail promenade with over 20,000m2 of leasable space and 3,000 parking facility and the installation of additional 200 slot machines, 65 gaming tables.
The second phase of the project involves the construction of a 500-room hotel under three different hotel brands, an event area to accommodate 15,000 people, 100,000m2 convention area, retail space, 35 new food and beverage outlets, and gaming tables and electronic machines.08dB Acoustic Environments has been appointed as environmental and feasibility study consultant, Steelman Partners LLP as an architect, and Design Coordinates Inc as lead consultant for the project.
D.M.Consunji Inc and Santa Elena Construction & Development Corporation have been appointed as EPC contractors for the project.
Dalton Steelman Arias & Associates has been appointed as an interior designer, shop12 Design as facade consultant, SY2 + Associates as a structural engineer, SIP Project Management as PMC contractor and L.R.Punsalan & Associates as a mechanical engineer for the project.
In the first quarter of 2011, Construction works commenced for the project.
In March 2012, SPI acquired another 8ha site in lease from PAGCOR for the second phase of Solaire Manila, which is considered as an expansion to the facility currently being constructed.
Forsspac Global (Aeight Pacific Corp) was appointed as a technical consultant for phase 1A of the project.The scope of the contract includes 3D Modeling, Clash Detection and 2D Extraction for the project. Crimson Group was appointed as supply contract for Phase 1A of the project.
In March 2012, construction work on the first phase completed.
In November 2014, construction works on the Phase 1A was completed.
Planning activities on the second phase are underway and construction activities are expected to commence in 2017 with completion scheduled by 2019.
