Skipjack Offshore Wind LLC (SOW), a unit of Deepwater Wind Holdings, is planning to build an offshore wind farm in Maryland, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 120MW offshore wind farm. It includes the construction of a platform to install 15 turbines, a powerhouse, and related facilities, and the installation of power controlling units and the laying of transmission lines.
On November 30, 2016, SOW submitted a planning application to the Maryland Public Service Commission (MPSC).

SOW has been awarded offshore renewable energy credits(ORECs) valued at US$131.93/MWh for a 20-year term, and the impact on ratepayer bills is projected to be US$1.40/month.
SOW is expected to commence offshore and onshore surveys and will submit permit applications by 2019 and expected to receive permits by the third quarter of 2020. Long lead-time equipment orders will be placed and fabrication will begin in early 2021 following financial closure in early 2021. Offshore installation and commissioning will commence in 2022.
