St Modwen Properties PLC (SMP) is planning to undertake the construction of a mixed-use development project in the UK.
The project involves the regeneration of Leegate Shopping Center.
It includes the construction of 230 homes, townhouses, fitness facilities, offices, restaurants, a supermarket, cafes, related facilities and the installation of elevators and safety systems.
The project also involves the redevelopment of a multi-story structure into a one-level car park for 320-cars. Plans are also in place to convert an existing office building into a hotel.
Campbell Architects (CA) and Maccreanor Lavington Architects (MLA) have been appointed as architects and Colin Buchanan SKM (SKM) as planner.
In March 2012, SMP held a public consultation unveiling preliminary proposals.
On June 20, 2014, a second public consultation scheduled on the revised plan.
On November 15, 2014, SMP held a third public consultation prior submitting planning application.
In late November 2014, SMP submitted the planning application to London Borough of Lewisham.
In May 2016, SMP received planning consent from the London Borough of Lewisham for the project development.
In February 2017, SMP received planning approval from Greater London Authority.
SMP is in a process of submitting new detailed planning application to Lewisham Council and public consultations are expected to commence in July 2017.
