Sam Moon Group (SMG) has formed Moon Stonebriar Hotel Ltd (MSH) and General Growth Properties Inc. (GGP) are planning to build a hotel in Frisco, Texas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 15-story hotel comprising 295 rooms. It includes the construction of a 4,645m2 conference center, a 278m2 city library, a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom, additional breakout spaces, 800 parking spaces and other related facilities.
The council approved an agreement to buy the hotel’s conference center for US$10.5 million.
SMG acquired land from GGP for the project.
Hyatt Corporation has been appointed as the management contract.
On April 5, 2016, FCC approved a separate agreement to fund up to US$15 million for the cost of the parking garage.
In April 2017, SMG and GGP received the planning approval from the Frisco City Council (FCC).
February 2017, pre-design activities are underway.
Construction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2019.
