Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) is undertaking the construction of the third phase expansion of Singapore LNG Terminal project in Singapore.
The project involves the construction of a 260,000m3 fourth storage tank to increase the capacity from 6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to around 11Mtpa and additional regasification facilities at the existing SLNG's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal.
The project includes the construction of loading and un-loading facilities and related infrastructure facilities, installation of pressure vessels and safety system and the laying of pipelines.
Amec Foster Wheeler has been appointed as Project Management Contractor.
In November 2012, WorleyParsons was appointed as the engineering design contractor.
In April 2014, SLNG was in the process of preparing the documents to invite bids for EPC contract.
On August 26, 2014, Samsung C&T Corporation was appointed as EPC contractor. The value of the contract is US$560 million.
Samsung C&T Corporation appointed Fluor, Kogas-Tech, VSL Singapore, Woongnam Singapore, Antara Koh, CS Construction & Geotechnic, Hiap Seng Engineering, Kok Chang Scaffolding, and Loh & Loh Construction as sub-contractors.
As of February 2017, mobilization work is underway. The project is scheduled to complete in 2018.
