SolarPark Korea Co Ltd (SKCL) is planning to build a solar power plant in Thach Hà, Hà Tinh Province, Vietnam.
The project involves the construction of a 300MW solar power plant on a land between 300 and 500ha. It includes the construction of a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of solar panels, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
SKCL will own and operate the project for a period of up to 25 years, and then hand it over to local authorities.
On October 14, 2015, SKCL held a meeting with the People's Committee of Hà Tinh Province to discuss the plan and a possible site for the project.
SKCL is considering two sites in Thach Hà district for the development.
As of November 2016, SKCL conducted site surveys in different parts of Hà Tinh Province and found Nam Huong and Thach Dien communes in Thach Ha District as suitable places for the project.
SKCL is also seeking for cooperation from Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and local authorities for developing the project.
