Sand Hill Property Company (SHP) is planning to build a mixed-use community in California, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 111,483m2 mixed-use community on 20ha of land.
It includes the construction of 12ha Community Park, an amphitheater, children’s play areas, 59,458m2 entertainments and retail space, 185,806m2 of office space, 680 market-rate apartments, 80 affordable apartments and 40 apartments for seniors, restaurants, a movie theater, an ice skating rink, bowling alley, health club, a 339-room hotel, a 929m2 High School Innovation Center, a 464m2 community center, a 12ha green roof and parking related facilities, and the installation of safety and security systems.
The 12ha community park will complement small bridges to be constructed above Wolfe Road and onto the new buildings, laying of a 6.1km walking and jogging trails.
In November 2014, SHP closed on the acquisition of the project site for US$316 million.
In May 2015, Rafael Vinoly Architects was appointed as architect and OLIN as Landscape Architect for the project.
On August 26, 2015, SHP unveiled plans to public and conducted environmental review.
In September 2015, SHP submitted planning application to the Cupertino City Council.
On November 8, 2016, SHP plans rejected by the city council at the general election.
The project discussions are underway.
