Sinosteel Engineering & Technology Co. Ltd (SHE) and Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co. Ltd (BEIH) are planning to undertake the construction of gas power project in Banten, West Java, Indonesia.

The project involves the construction of a 500MW power plant. It included the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, gas storage tanks, steam generating units and cooling towers, the installation of generators, and transformers and the laying of transmission lines.

On August 13, 2015, SHE and Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co. Ltd signed a cooperation agreement with Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for the project development.

An in-house division of SHE will undertake the construction works on the project and Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co. Ltd will provide necessary funds.

SHE and BEIH are in the process of obtaining necessary approvals from the PLN. Simultaneously, the developers are seeking sub-contractor for the project.
