Shri Govindaraja Textiles Ltd (SGT), a subsidiary of Jayavilas Group, is planning to construct a textile manufacturing plant in North Carolina, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 16,722m2 yarn manufacturing plant. It includes the construction of a production unit, a dyeing facility, a storage unit, an administrative space and related infrastructure, and the installation of 16 machines with a production capacity 35 tons of yarn per day, safety and security systems.
The NC Department of Commerce’s Rural Infrastructure Authority Board awarded a US$750,000 community development block grant (CDBG) to the City of Eden to assist SGT with up to 50% of building costs.
The project will be funded through a mix of equity and debt, in the ratio of 1:3.
