Surat Gladstone Pipeline Pty Ltd (SGP), wholly owned subsidiary of Arrow Energy, is planning to undertake the construction of a pipeline in Central Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the laying of a 470km buried steel gas pipeline. It includes the construction of gas compressor stations, metering stations and other related facilities, and the installation of control system, valves and cooling system.
The pipeline will be buried at least 0.750m and will be between 0.810m to 0.860m in diameter.
It will be executed in two phases. The first phase involves the laying of pipeline from Gladstone to west Dalby. The second phase involves the laying of pipeline from Dalby to west of Cecil Plains.
In 2008, IDM was appointed as PMC contractor for the project.
In February 2010, SGP received Petroleum Pipeline Licence from Queensland Government to develop the project.
In 2010, project received Environmental Impact Statements approval.
Coffey, RPS Environment and Planning Pty Ltd have been appointed as environment consultants and GHD Pty Ltd has been appointed as study contractor for the project.
In August 2012, WorleyParsons Ltd was awarded a contract for the preliminary engineering design on the project.
