San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA) with the Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) and the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) is planning to undertake the Yerba Buena Island (YBI) West-Side Bridges project in San Francisco, California, the US.
The project involves the redevelopment of eight bridge structures along Treasure Island Road. The project will include the construction of access roads, intersections, retaining walls and related infrastructure, and the installation of signaling and safety systems.
In October 2011, the seismic strategy reports for the project were approved.
WMH Corporation has been appointed as consulting engineer for the project. Metropolitan Transportation Commission has been selected as project manager.
In February 2014, Value Engineering Analysis (VA) Report was prepared.
In May 2016, preliminary engineering and additional environmental documentations are underway with completion scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Final design and right of way certification activities are targeted for completion by the end of 2017.
