South Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority, Helse Sør-Øst, (SENRHA) is planning to construct the Nytt Vestre Viken hospital in Buskerud, Norway.
The project involves the construction of a healthcare complex comprising a 120,000m2 somatic department and a 30,000m2 psychiatric department on an 89ha of land.
It includes the construction of intensive care units, operating theatres, a pharmacy, waiting rooms, an administrative facility, roads, parking facilities and related facilities.
Vestre Viken HF has been appointed as a developer.
In July 2014, Ramboll was appointed to undertake function planning for the concept phase of the project.
In September 2014, Vestre Viken initiated the process of detailed zoning, placement of planning programs and negotiations on a development agreement for the project.
In October 2014, Vestre Viken appointed "CURA" formed by architect companies Henning Larsen Architects, Link Architecture, Bolgeblikk Architects and consulting companies Multiconsult, Hjellnes Consult and Erichsen & Horgen. The scope of work includes architecture, landscape architecture and all consultative engineering services.
Multiconsult has been appointed to undertake zoning and detailed development plans and electrical works.
In February 2016, a public consultation process was initiated.
Planning activities are underway and scheduled to completed by 2018.
