Department of Infrastructure and Logistics RS (SEINFRA) is undertaking the development of ERS-010 Highway project in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The project involves the construction of a 68.5km stretch between federal highway BR-290 and state highway RS-239. ERS-010 also known as Rodovia do Progresso.
Further, the project involves the construction of road works and structures such as bridges, walkways, cycle paths, a 380m tunnel and widening the stretches.
The ERS-010 Highway project is planned to be constructed in three sections. The first section is planned to be completed in two years followed by the second section in four years and the third section up to seven years.
Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state government plans to sign a public-private partnership to develop the project. The tender launched for the project on Q4 2010 was canceled and the next date for the tender is not yet revealed.
In April 2012, Government sets construction of ERS-010 through a public-private partnership model.
The new design has been developed jointly by experts of Municipalities of the region, in partnership with construction company Odebrecht.
Study works are underway.
