Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) through its subsidiary, National Grid SA, is undertaking the construction of substations in the city of Al Hassa, Saudi Arabia.
The project involves the construction of two 115kV substations and modification of the existing Al-Uqair substation. It includes the construction of an electric feeder system and other related facilities and the installation of safety systems.
In December 2014, Isolux Corsán was appointed as the turnkey contractor for the project. The scope of work includes the design, material supply, testing and commissioning of two substations, as well as the modified substation. In addition, the company will provide equipment for the automation system.
Al-Othman Consulting Engineering Company has been appointed as technical consultant.
JAL International Co. Ltd. has been appointed as construction contractor.
