Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) is planning to construct the Metjawah Hydroelectric Power Plant project in Sarawak, Malaysia.
The project involves the construction of a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 300MW.
The project includes the construction of a dam, spillway, a 10m high concrete weir, power house, substations, head race and tail race tunnels, shafts, access roads and the installation of gates, turbines, generators, transformers and dam controlling system and the laying of transmission line.
In 2008, Sarawak government appointed Entura to undertake the feasibility studies for the project.
In July 2008, Entura initiated the technical and financial feasibility study for the project and completed in August 2009.
