Seabridge Gold Inc. (SEA) is undertaking the development of a gold mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
The project involves the development of a gold mine with a production capacity of 6.1MTPA on 5,400ha of land. It includes the construction, development, and operation of surface open pit gold mine and related infrastructure facilities.
The project also includes the construction of a processing plant with a capacity of 6.1MTPA, haul road, a 43.2 MW diesel power plant, a 31.5 MW wind farm, catchment dams, administration buildings, and related facilities, expansion of airstrip and the installation of machinery, safety and security systems.
Resource Modeling Inc. has been appointed as a technical consultant, Tetra Tech-Wardrop as a metallurgical consultant, Moose Mountain Technical Services as a mining engineer, Golder Associates Ltd as a geological consultant, EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. as a geotechnical consultant, WN Brazier Associates Inc as an electrical engineering consultant, Rescan Environmental Services Ltd as an environmental consultant and SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. as an engineering consultant.
In July 2002, the initial technical report was prepared for the project.
