Sunway City Ipoh Sdn Bhd (SCI), a subsidiary of Sunway Group, Perak state government (PSG) and Yayasan Perak (VP) are planning to build a mixed-use community in Perak, Malaysia.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use community on a 546.3ha of land comprising residential, a hotel and retail components.
The residential component, comprising the Lost World Serviced Apartments and Hilltop Homes, includes construction of 1,000 serviced apartments in four blocks on a 12.5ha of land.
The hotel component includes the expansion of the Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat by adding 20 villas and construction of a new hotel block with 300 rooms and a banquet hall.
The retail component includes the construction of a 55,742m2 Lost World Outlet Mall with 1,000 shop units.
In June 2016, the development agreement between Perak State Secretary and SCI lapsed. The PSG has asked SCI to return the undeveloped portion of the land.
