St Andrew Bay Land Company (SABLC), a subsidiary of Leucadia National Corporation, is undertaking the construction of a residential community in Panama City, Florida, the US.

The project involves the construction of 3,200 residential units on a 283.2ha of land.

It includes the construction of 65,032m2 of commercial space, construction of retail space, a town center, university academy, 8km of waterfront park, boat house, restaurants, grocery stores, office space, access roads, development of a marina, parks, construction of parking and related facilities.

The project will be developed in seven phases.

The first phase names as Academy Park includes the construction of 260 homes, five community parks, community pool, which has began in April 2014.

The second phase includes the construction of commercial space, town center, and a marina.

The further phase’s timelines are yet to be revealed.

PLACE Alliance has been appointed as the design consultant; Samuel Taylor Homes as the contractor for the first phase of the project.

In May 2016, 174 homes, as part of first phase have been completed. Construction works on the remaining homes of the first phase are underway.

The first phase is expected to be completed by 2018 and the entire project by 2025.
