Ryger Maidenhead Ltd (Ryger), a joint venture between Smedvig Eiendom AS (Smedvig) and London & Aberdeen Group (LAG) are planning to construct Maidenhead Mixed-use Development project in Berkshire, the UK.

The project involves the construction of a 55,742m2 mixed-use complex on a 1.9ha area. It includes the construction of a 20,900m2 residential facility with 225 units, a 34,100m2 office facility, a 4,700m2 retail facility, a restaurant, a bar, cafes, 400 parking spaces and related facilities and the installation of safety systems.

In February 2014, The Royal Institute of British Architects (Riba) on behalf of Ryger, Smedvig and LAG, launched an invitation for architectural firms to design the master plan for the project.

RIBA shortlisted four companies: Allies and Morrison, Eric Parry Architects, Chetwoods architects, Rick Mather Architects and Studio Egret West.

Core Five as Cost Consultant, Quod as Planning Consultant, Peter Brett Associates as Highways, Transport and EIA, MODE as Highways & Transport.

On April 29, 2014, Studio Egret West and Allies & Morrison were appointed as an architect for the project.

In February 2015, the planning application was submitted for the project.

On September 2, 2015, Councillors at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has given outline planning approval for the project.

On October 12, 2015, outline planning permission was granted for the project.

Countryside has been selected by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as the joint venture partner.

LAG is in the process of acquiring the project site from the land owner for the development of the project.

The project involves the construction of a 55,742m2 mixed-use complex on a 1.9ha area at Maidenhead Town Center in Maidenhead, Berkshire, the UK.
