Rijkswaterstaat is planning to reinforce the Afsluitdijk in the Netherlands.

Tenders for the design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) contract is scheduled to be invited on November 16, 2017, with a submission date of January 25, 2018. The contract is slated to be awarded by February 22, 2018.
Construction is expected to commence in 2018 and slated to be completed by 2022.
