RS Motorways (in Bosnian Autoputevi Republike Srpske), a government body responsible for managing motorways and high-speed roads in Republika Srpska, is planning to construct the Glamocani to Mliniste highway project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project involves the construction of a 93km Glamocani-Banjaluka-Mrkonjic Grad-Mliniste highway connecting the border of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project will be developed in phases.
The first phase involves the construction of 62km road from Glamocani to Puta Avnoja.
It will include the construction of bridges, culverts, interchanges, pedestrian ways and other related facilities, and the installation of traffic signals, toll gates, and street lights.
The project will be implemented on Design, Build, Finance, and Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis for a concession period of 30 years.
On January 22, 2015, RS Motorways signed a preliminary agreement with Sinohydro Corporation for design and construction of the project.
In November 2015, Sinohydro prepared and submitted research documents including a feasibility study, necessary for the final negotiations on a loan agreement with China's ExIm Bank for the construction of the Glamocani-Put AVNOJ section of the Banja Luka–Mliniste motorway.
In November 2016, RS Motorways signed the final agreement with Sinohydro Corporation for construction of the project.
RS Motorways is awaiting China’s ExIm Bank to finance the first phase of the project.
Construction is expected to be complete by 2025.
Fund raising activities are underway.
