Polaris Infrastructure Inc (RPG), formerly known as Ram Power Corp., is planning to undertake the South Meager Creek Geothermal Plant project at South Meager Creek in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada.

The project involves the construction of a geothermal power plant with a capacity of 100MW. It will include the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, and access roads and the installation of machinery.

The project features drilling of production and injection wells, gathering, and injection system and a power generation plant at the plant site. It includes the laying of 230kV transmission lines linked to B.C. Transmission Corp. system.

Western GeoPower has been appointed as a developer for the project.

Between 2004 and 2005, Western GeoPower drilled three wells. The maximum measured temperature for each of the wells was 260°C, 259°C and 237°C, but none of the wells were able to flow.

In 2008, Western GeoPower conducted a testing program at the South Meager Project, under the direction of GeothermEx. Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd has been appointed as consulting engineer.

Planning activities are underway.
