Red Electrica de Espana (REE) is undertaking the Lanzarote and Fuerteventura 132kV transmission line project in Gran Canaria, Spain.
The project involves the laying of a 14.5km underwater transmission line, an 1.8km underground transmission line in Lanzarote, a 645m underground line in Fuerteventura, the construction of eight substations, suspension towers and anchor towers, and the installation of related facilities.
It includes the construction of four new substations in Lanzarote: Tías, Callejones, Playa Blanca and Haría; whereas in Fuerteventura, it is planned to build four new substations: La Oliva, Puerto del Rosario, Jare and Cañada de la Barca.
