In June 2017, A new long-term agreement approved by the Broward County Commission. The new agreement will replace the current agreement with RCL. The new agreement will last until September 30, 2026, with options to extend the terms for an additional four years, followed by an additional five years.
In June 2017, Port Everglades plans to invest US$100 million for the project.
