The project involves the construction of two level underground car parking facility on 10ha (100,000m2) area.
It includes the construction of 1,493 parking lots, drainage system, reinforced and post tensioned concrete structure and concrete footpaths, and the installation of a lift and lighting systems.
Astad, a joint venture of Qatar Foundation and Qatar Petroleum has been appointed as the project management consultant.
WS Atkins has been appointed as the design contractor; and Parsons International Limited as the design consultant.
In November 2011, Terna S.A, a subsidiary of Gek Terna Group and Al Jaber & Makhlouf was appointed as the contractor.
Construction activities are underway.
