The report provides detailed market analysis, information and insights based on over 1600 CIC projects in Asia-Pacific for 35 countries. The report provides detailed metrics on the region's power generation construction projects (as tracked by CIC) split by country, type and value. Detailed metrics are also provided for the top 10 countries. Summary
This report is based on Timetric’s Construction Intelligence Center (CIC) which is currently tracking power generation construction projects in Asia-Pacific, with a total of capacity of 1,103.9 GW. The total value of this construction projects pipeline (which includes projects from the announced to execution stages) stands at US$1.67 trillion. Coal power has the largest share of generating capacity reflecting the region’s dependence on the fuel, compared to the reduction in coal use in Western countries. Coal power projects account for almost 50% of additional generating capacity, with 522.5GW, followed by hydroelectric with 201.1GW and nuclear with 149.3GW.
The report provides analysis based on CIC projects showing total project values for 35 Asia-Pacific countries. Analysis is also provided for value and MW added by country and top European project listings. Top participants for the sector are also shown.
